Golden Grab Awards 2025 Honors Restaurants and Grocers Raising the Gold Standard in Innovation and Service
Grab Philippines shone the spotlight on the country’s most outstanding restaurants and retailers at the Golden Grab Awards 2025,
celebrating merchant partners that continue to raise the bar for quality, innovation, and customer service in today’s fast evolving online to offline economy.The annual awards recognized businesses that have successfully grown with Grab’s ecosystem while delivering consistent excellence to Filipino consumers. Leading the night’s top honors were Serenitea, named GrabFood Merchant of the Year for National Brands; JT’s Manukan Grille, which won for Nationwide Chains; and Oh Mango, awarded GrabFood Merchant of the Year for Citywide Merchants in Metro Manila.
The ceremony gathered hundreds of Grab merchant partners from across the Philippines and highlighted how the superapp has grown beyond delivery into a full business growth platform that supports both digital sales and physical store traffic.
EJ dela Vega, Grab Philippines Head of Deliveries and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the company’s long term commitment to its merchant partners. He shared that trust is built with every single order, adding that Grab aims to be a consistent and reliable ally for businesses with bold growth ambitions.
“Our pledge is simple,” dela Vega said. “We want to be the partner that gives merchants the right tools and commercial support so their big dreams can turn into real results.”
Celebrating Excellence in Quality and Reliability
Beyond the Merchant of the Year awards, the Golden Grab Awards recognized businesses that stood out for quality, consistency, and operational excellence. Caramia Cakes and Gelato earned Best Rated National Brand under the GrabFood Quality category, while 24 Chicken was named Most Reliable National Brand for its strong operational performance.
For GrabMart, Ever Supermarket and Cion’s Meat Shop were recognized as Most Reliable Merchants for maintaining product availability and delivering dependable customer service. The night also celebrated the 5 Star Eats winners, honoring city and community merchants with consistently high ratings. Among the standouts were Mylene’s Ensaymada and Banana Cake, Paya Street Coffee, Quarantea, and CBS Kitchen.
Retail leaders were recognized as Category Captains, including Pet Express for Pets, Watsons for Pharmacies, and Robinsons Supermarket for Supermarkets. These brands led their categories in sales performance and set benchmarks for excellence on GrabMart.
Innovation and Data Driven Growth Take Center Stage
Marketing innovation was another key focus of the awards. Southstar Drug and Davao Central Convenience Store were named Adoption Leaders for effectively using Grab Marketing Solutions to grow their reach. McDonald’s received the Data Driven Impact Trailblazer award for its targeted campaigns, while Chowking was honored as the Loyalty Innovation Trailblazer for strengthening customer engagement.
The event also highlighted the growing importance of hybrid dining strategies. JT’s Manukan Grille, Zhenbao Hotpot, and Feta Mediterranean were recognized as Best Dine Out Merchants for using Grab deals to drive foot traffic and boost in store sales.
Greg Camacho, Director for Off Platform Solutions, shared that the future of the industry lies in delivering a seamless gold standard for customers, whether online or inside physical locations. He noted that Grab and its merchant partners are redefining what it means to succeed as an omnichannel business in a competitive food and retail landscape.
As the Golden Grab Awards 2025 concluded, one message stood clear. Filipino restaurants and retailers are not just adapting to change. With the right partners and platforms, they are leading the way forward.
