Eastwood Richmonde Hotel Marks 15 Years of Celebrating Filipino Hospitality
Eastwood Richmonde Hotel (ERH) recently celebrated a remarkable milestone, marking 15 years of delivering homegrown Filipino hospitality.
The anniversary coincided with its annual Christmas tree lighting, bringing together loyal patrons, media partners, and distinguished guests for an evening of heartfelt recognition and festive cheer. The event was themed “15 and Beyond: Forward Filipino Hospitality,” highlighting the hotel’s roots and its ongoing commitment to promoting Filipino culture and traditions.
Jun Justo, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts NCR+ Cluster General Manager and ERH General Manager, opened the celebration by reflecting on how ERH set the standard for Megaworld Corporation and its township developments, as the first hotel in Eastwood City’s mixed-use community. A tribute video followed, honoring the hotel’s dedicated staff fondly called Enrichers whose passion and hard work have defined Richmonde’s signature warmth and hospitality.
Guests of honor shared their congratulatory messages, including Megaworld Corporation President and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, Department of Tourism Undersecretary Maria Rica Bueno, Jong Sumpiaco of Quezon City’s Investment Services Division representing Mayor Joy Belmonte, and Megaworld Hotels and Resorts Managing Director Cleofe Albiso. They praised ERH’s influence on local tourism, community development, and the city’s hospitality landscape, highlighting initiatives that uphold Filipino culture through the hotel’s Sampaguita brand of service and sustainable tourism practices.
The highlight of the evening was a celebratory toast led by MHR Group General Manager Art Boncato, followed by the countdown to the lighting of the hotel’s Christmas tree. Guests were captivated by a Sampaguita-inspired Capiz lantern, signaling the official start of the holiday season at the hotel.
Adding a nostalgic touch to the evening, Harana, a group of professional singers and alumni of La Salle’s Kundirana, performed beloved OPM hits and Christmas carols, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
The celebration continued at Eastwood Café+Bar with a meticulously crafted six-course dinner prepared by MHR Corporate Chef Panky Lopez and ERH Executive Chef Peter Paluga. Guests enjoyed modern interpretations of classic Filipino dishes, including Salmon Sinigang Steak and Caldereta Tiger Pie, celebrating the rich flavors of the Philippines in a contemporary style.
As Eastwood Richmonde Hotel looks toward the next 15 years, it remains committed to meaningful and thoughtful hospitality, creating welcoming spaces, and offering service that is heartfelt, inclusive, and distinctly Filipino.
