Remington Grooming Line, Now in the Philippines

Last year, Tocoms Philippines, in partnership with Spectrum Brands, launched the great line of Russell Hobbs products, including the Purify in 2014, which sold more than a thousand units before the end of the year. They also renewed Chef JP Anglo’s contract for the said brand.

Now, it’s time once again to unleash the newest brand in the Philippine market for hair care, Remington which is sought after by consumers all over the world.

Remington has grown its sales tremendously in just one year, said Clarence Cu, president of Tocoms Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Remington. The brand has already taken the world by storm, and now they want Filipino consumers to experience how good their products are. In fact, they are now in the top 25 worldwide.

For over 70 years, they have been designing innovations, including their very first product, the world’s first electric shaver. I actually find this very interesting and perfectly timed because recently, my husband and I were discussing how shavers were invented. Now he’ll definitely be speechless to know these facts.

When I saw the invite for this hair care brand, I was ecstatic. My hair has always been my forever dilemma, my stylist knows this. So any event related to hair is exciting for me.

Yes, they say I’ve always looked young for my age. Maybe I got some of the good old genes from my dad, which I’ve taken for granted, BIG TIME, especially my hair. After numerous blow-drying sessions and countless semi-permanent color treatments, I noticed an oddly light strand of hair after my last salon visit. It was that partially translucent, faded strand of white hair. Good grief.

It’s now time to change my habits of frequent salon treatments and switch to a milder alternative. Fortunately, in this day and age, hair technology is within reach. Even thick hair can be styled beautifully without prior perming.

I’ve never owned a curling iron before, but I’ve always planned to get one for as long as I can remember, time and budget just never allowed it. But I guess the odds are finally in my favor.

I have yet to learn the art of twisting and curling, but there are plenty of hair tutorials out there. Now that I have the right curling iron, it will be easier to follow them and create classic, natural-looking waves. I’m excited and so are my kids!
