Banana Peel Brings Summer Fun at #BPSummerintheCity

“Tans will fade, but memories will last forever.”

Recently, I was invited to be part of Banana Peel’s Summer in the City 2-day event for all flip-flop lovers, held at UP Town Center. Excited to see what the event had to offer, I went there as soon as registration opened.

The event featured an abundance of fun summer activities for the entire family, both relaxing and exhilarating, perfect for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy.

I just wished I had brought my kids with me. UP Town Center has always been one of our favorite hangout places, truly a family-oriented destination with spaces that offer endless opportunities for both children and adults to have fun and unwind.

The event had five activity areas, including Adventure Central, where I got to play oversized classic games like Snakes and Ladders. If only I could take it home with me, my kids would absolutely love it!

They also had giant versions of games like Jenga and Tic Tac Toe, making the experience even more fun and interactive for everyone.

The Fashion-Forward Style Boulevard offered guests free manicures, makeovers, face painting, and hair braiding.

The hair braiding was such a great idea, and I was actually looking forward to becoming Princess Elsa for the day, but unfortunately, my hair wasn’t quite the perfect candidate for it.

Beauty and Butter is the hippest one-stop pampering destination to hit the metropolis, offering the ultimate in self-expression and luxury pampering through beautification.

Their services provide instant gratification through nail care, facials, and spa treatments designed to help guests relax, refresh, and feel their best.

At the Bite Yard, I enjoyed a variety of snacks and refreshments such as noodles, chips, bread, pretzels, my favorite Korean ice cream, and other summer drinks.

One of my favorites is products from Binggrae, the No. 1 ice cream brand in Korea, which is why I’ve always loved their products.

They offer a wide range of ice cream flavors, along with unique snacks that delight both the eyes and the taste buds.

I was hoping to get the Samanco ice cream bread, but they gave me Melona instead.

Melona is a rich and smooth creamy ice cream bar with natural fruit flavors such as melon, strawberry, banana, and mango.

I tasted the Spicy Chicken and it's truly bursting with flavors. It has real vegetables and flavor rich noodles with no cook preparation whether cup or pouch.

I visited the OWL Coffee booth and sampled their flavorful OWL coffee for free.
Indeed, Owl Coffee is always crafted for your enjoyment.

At the Carnival Block, the guests (and I ) enjoyed the ring toss of Mogu Mogu, table drop of Hawk Bags, yard pong of Beach Hut, duck hunt and took home cool prizes.

I played the yard pong game, and unfortunately, I wasn’t that precise with my throws, so I didn’t get to take home the awesome Beach Hut prize.

But I was lucky enough to take home this cool booklet at the duck hunt which was the easiest game at the event, lol!

WWF Philippines' Environmental Life Skills team conducted an Environmental Education session for the kids, which was all about marine life and conservation.
Some took home WWF Philippines shirts, caps and eco bags and took part of the fund raising campaign.

There were also raffle prizes, stage games, and lucky winners who took home Banana Peel gift certificates. The afternoon was further elevated by acoustic performances at the Chill Square, adding a relaxing vibe to the event.

Guests simply needed to present a receipt worth ₱300.00 from Banana Peel at the registration booth to enjoy all the treats available in the venue.

This was Banana Peel’s way of thanking its customers for continuously supporting its products and celebrating the brand’s community of loyal shoppers.

This, my friend, is the Skull Crusher Burger from Skull and Bones at UP Town Center.

I got to enjoy this beauty after the media coverage of Summer in the City. It features two 5-oz patties with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, smoked bacon, fried onion, sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, jalapeños, and mushroom gravy.

Honestly, I’m still drooling just thinking about it.

I’ll do a separate post about Skull and Bones soon, but in the meantime, you can check out their Facebook page.

Summer in the City is made even more fun and exciting through Banana Peel’s partnership with Mary Kay Philippines, Beauty and Butter, Sun Cellular, Mogu Mogu, Beauti Drink, Hawk Bag, Beach Hut, Owl Coffee, Pan de Manila, Nissin Yakisoba, Jack ‘n Jill Pretzel Crisps, Jack ‘n Jill XO Candy, Jack ‘n Jill Chippy, Wilkins, Binggrae Ice Cream, World of Fun, Sports Zone, Fun Time, AyalaLand Premier, Pilipinas 911, and Contigo Philippines.
