Russell Hobbs Launches Mood Food Cookbook with Chef JP Anglo
I really love attending cooking events and classes.
I remember my dad letting us join cooking classes every summer at the YMCA back in grade school. But now, I rarely join, not because I don’t want to, but because it’s too expensive for someone like me who doesn’t plan to open a restaurant or anything like that, and my budget won’t allow it. I just like eating great food and cooking great food for my family whenever I can.
So I’ve discovered my second-best alternative: waiting for cooking event invites from PR friends. HAH!
And I was fortunate enough to get an invite recently—hooray! For me, it’s the best way to learn from really talented chefs, while also getting the chance to understand how they think and why they cook the way they do.
The event was all about a collaboration between one of the UK’s leading appliance brands and one of the Philippines’ foremost celebrity chefs. They also prepared something wonderful that surely satisfied our cravings, just great food shared with great friends.
We all know that Russell Hobbs is a brand known for style, quality, and innovation. Their aim is to help us prepare good food while also making us feel good.
Back in 2014, Russell Hobbs introduced the Purifry, which is perfect for deep frying, roasting, and even baking. It allows cooking with less oil or even no oil at all, making it a healthier option.
That’s what they stand for: Russell Hobbs wants only the best for their customers.
He was a judge/co-host of both Master Chef Pinoy edition and Junior Master Chef Philippines.
He owns 2 restaurants in his hometown in Bacolod City and is the chef/part owner of Sarsa Kitchen Bar right in Bonifacio Global City.
Indeed, one of the easiest ways to change a person's mood is through food.
A simple occasion can be made extra special with delectable dishes.
With this in mind, Russell Hobbs unveils the most exciting project along with Chef JP Anglo, which is the Mood Food Cookbook.
The cookbook showcases how simple recipes can become gustatory delights that can enhance the mood and the whole dining experience at the comfort of one's home.
Chef JP Anglo said they actually got the inspiration for this cookbook from Spotify, and thought about creating “mood-based” food experiences.
The cookbook is divided into five categories that help set the tone for different moments. Some of these include Impress Your Friends, Roadtrip, Hangover, and more.
They based it on mood, as well as the equipment from Russell Hobbs.
In the Mood Food cookbook, the average cooking time is around 5 to 30 minutes. The goal is to create meals that are both healthy and fast.
The longest recipe takes about 30 minutes, which is the Lechon Kawali. They used the Purifry for this, so you can enjoy Lechon Kawali with less guilt thanks to the reduced oil cooking method.
With Russell Hobbs’ Mood Food Cookbook and its line of small appliances, eating at home will never be the same.
Gone are the days of guilt-laden takeout, modern life at home has never felt more homey.
It also can be used to grill meat, chicken, and sausages.
