Gerry’s Grill Revamps Restaurants for a More Classy Dining Experience

Let me tell you something, if you haven’t tried Gerry’s Grill yet, now is the perfect time to do so.

Guests can now enjoy a refreshed dining experience as the restaurant continues its rapid expansion and transformation, unveiling two new looks that are truly worth the wait.

It almost feels like stepping into two entirely different restaurants, each with a distinct atmosphere. Yet one thing remains unchanged, the rich, flavorful Filipino meals and desserts that everyone knows and loves. Yes, it’s still the same comforting and satisfying food choices people keep coming back for.

The popular Filipino restaurant recently opened back-to-back outlets at the ground floor Mega Strip B of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong and along Macapagal Avenue in Aseana City, Pasay. Both locations feature a completely new ambiance, offering guests a fresh setting to enjoy the familiar tastes that have made Gerry’s Grill a favorite through the years.

Gerry’s Grill recently unveiled its new look, and I was happy to be part of the experience. The restaurant has undergone a modern rustic makeover for its Megamall branch, giving it a refreshed yet familiar feel.

The space now features bright, neutral-toned walls paired with glass panels and well-distributed fluorescent lighting across the ceiling, creating a dining area that feels both authentic and refreshingly updated. It is the kind of setting that feels perfect for food lovers who enjoy taking photos of their meals before digging in.

There are also more tables compared to before, making it more suited for bigger family gatherings and group dining. The layout feels more open and welcoming, ideal for shared meals and long conversations over food.

One of the standout design elements is the main feature wall, which is decorated with lush foliage. What makes it even more interesting is that the plants are maintained through a fully automated watering system, keeping the greenery fresh and vibrant without much upkeep. It is a thoughtful touch that adds life to the space.

A private function room has also been added, offering guests a more exclusive area for celebrations and special gatherings.

During the visit, we were able to sample some of Gerry’s comforting dishes at the Megamall branch, including the Green Mango Salad. It is a refreshing mix of chopped green mango, onions, and tomatoes, topped with crunchy pork skin, priced at ₱135.

The Fried Pla-Pla or Tilapia is best enjoyed when paired with a savory eggplant salad made from grilled eggplant, onions, tomatoes, and shrimp paste.

The Sizzling Tuna Sisig, priced at ₱195, is another standout dish that brings a bold and satisfying twist to a classic favorite.

The Char-Grilled Bangus, priced at ₱275, is served with fresh tomatoes and onions, bringing out a smoky, savory flavor that perfectly complements its simple yet satisfying sides.

The Sizzling Kangkong, priced at ₱155, is a flavorful vegetable dish topped with roasted garlic, adding a rich, aromatic finish to its fresh and lightly crisp greens.

The Sinigang na Hipon, priced at ₱275, is a comforting Filipino classic made with tender shrimp in a light, tangy broth that delivers a perfect balance of sour and savory flavors.

They have clearly placed a strong emphasis on upgrading the ambiance, but the prices remain the same. The experience feels more elevated, yet the food is still as yummy and affordable as ever.

The 250-seater Aseana branch showcases an updated take on old Manila, surrounded by balconies and large windows with varied architectural designs. The interiors are thoughtfully styled, with a mix-and-match selection of chairs that creates the feeling of dining in a spacious patio, perfect for enjoying meals with family and friends.

Gerry’s Grill continues its steady growth, with 71 branches nationwide and international locations in the United States and Singapore. Expansion is also underway, with two additional branches planned for Qatar.
