Kano Luvs Pinay on TV5 This September 5 | Romantic Comedy Series Premiere

Tuesday will be back this Saturday.

The country’s premier comedienne Tuesday Vargas will appear in the romantic situational comedy series Kano Luvs Pinay, produced by Unitel Productions and TV5. 

The show combines Filipino humor, kilig moments, and family values while exploring the complexities of interracial and intercultural relationships between a Filipina and her American fiancé, Matthew, played by American actor Lee O’Brien. The series premieres this Saturday night.

“I’m truly honored and grateful to TV5 and Unitel because they gave us this chance to showcase our talents once again in a memorable project like Kano Luvs Pinay. Lee is such a gracious leading man and very professional. I was actually surprised at how well he handled the role, considering this is his first time acting on national TV,” Tuesday shared.

If you are wondering how Lee decided to pursue acting, he has long been a fan of Pokwang. As her real life partner, he became interested in stepping into her world and even shared that he would love to do more shows in the Philippines. He revealed that he attended two auditions and was eventually contacted by Unitel while on vacation. After auditioning for a role as a foreigner, he was eventually cast in the series.

“I had the pleasure of working with the talented Tuesday Vargas. She is a great person on and off screen,” Lee said.

Veteran actors Boboy Garovillo and Ces Quesada also return to television as the overprotective parents of Cookie, played by Vargas. They are joined by model turned actress Wilma Doesnt as Osang, and theater actress Kiki Baento as Girlie.
