Coca-Cola Brings Flavor, Music, and Community Spirit to Dinagyang 2026

Even weeks after the final drumbeats faded, the vibrant energy of Dinagyang 2026 continues to echo across Iloilo.

For Coca-Cola Philippines, this year’s festival was more than a presence, it was a celebration of nearly 80 years of connection with the Ilonggo community, rooted in culture, food, and shared memories.

A Legacy of Local Flavor

At the heart of Dinagyang is food, and Coca-Cola made sure it was part of the culinary excitement. The Coca-Cola Food Fest at Delgado Street and Megaworld Mandurriao transformed street dining into a cultural highlight. By pairing ice-cold Coca-Cola™ with local favorites, the brand celebrated Lasang Lokal, the distinct flavors that define Iloilo’s famous food scene.

Bold street food flavors naturally paired with the refreshing taste of Coke, creating moments where every bite was complemented by a sip. This connection isn’t new, since establishing operations in Iloilo in the 1940s, Coca-Cola has been a familiar presence at family tables and in sari-sari stores across the province.

A Stage for Local Talent

Dinagyang has celebrated Ilonggo pride since 1968, and Coca-Cola has been part of that journey for decades. This year, Coke Studio™ highlighted homegrown talent, with Iloilo’s Mary Anjolie and Your X Boyfriends performing alongside national acts like Ena Mori and Over October. The stage became a lively showcase of Filipino music infused with Ilonggo spirit.

From high-energy performances to collaborative acts, the concert brought music directly to the streets, giving festivalgoers a front-row seat to the talent that makes Iloilo proud.

Engaging the Next Generation

Coca-Cola also created interactive experiences designed for Gen Z, the country’s emerging culture creators. At the Royal™ Booth on Megaworld Boulevard, festivalgoers played Snap N’ Slay photo challenges while enjoying Royal™ drinks. Meanwhile, the Lift® Zone hosted fast-paced games for those seeking a competitive edge, perfectly matching the festival’s high-energy vibe.

Celebrating Responsibly

Being a true local partner means sharing responsibility. Through the Coca-Cola Tapon to Ipon program, PET bottle collection points were set up across Iloilo City, encouraging proper recycling and keeping the streets clean. Festivalgoers could exchange empty bottles for Coca-Cola products, with collected PET bottles sent to PETValue Philippines*, the country’s first food-grade bottle-to-bottle recycling facility. This initiative proves that large celebrations can be vibrant and sustainable at the same time.

Rooted in the Community

“Dinagyang is all about people coming together, and that’s what makes it special,” said Frenissa Lagman, Frontline Sr. Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Philippines. “Our history with Iloilo goes back to the late 1940s. Being part of local celebrations for over 50 years allows us to add real value through music, food, and supporting the community’s goals of keeping festivals clean.”

As life in Iloilo returns to its everyday rhythm, Coca-Cola’s presence at Dinagyang 2026 stands as a reminder that brands can be more than names, they can be genuine partners woven into the city’s culture and traditions.
