One of Manila's most celebrated destinations for premium Japanese Wagyu has reached an exciting milestone.

After 17 years of serving steak lovers with its signature interactive dining concept, House of Wagyu Stonegrill has officially opened its landmark flagship restaurant at Okada Manila, raising the bar for luxury dining in the Philippines.

More than just a new location, the flagship restaurant represents the brand's biggest and most refined concept yet. Combining exceptional Wagyu, elegant interiors, interactive tableside service, and innovative fire cooking techniques, the new restaurant offers guests an elevated culinary journey unlike any other.

A New Home for House of Wagyu Stonegrill's Signature Dining

For nearly two decades, House of Wagyu Stonegrill has built a loyal following with its iconic Stonegrill dining ritual, where guests cook premium Wagyu beef on a 380°C volcanic stone until it reaches their preferred level of doneness. This hands-on style of dining has become the restaurant's signature, blending premium ingredients with personalized dining and warm Filipino hospitality.

Now, that beloved tradition takes center stage at its stunning flagship inside Okada Manila.

The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by House of Wagyu Founder Corinne Castañeda, together with His Excellency Endo Kazuya, Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines, Madame Endo Akiko, Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez, distinguished guests, business partners, and Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer Nobuki Sato.

The move came after Okada Manila invited House of Wagyu Stonegrill to become part of its prestigious collection of world-class restaurants.

"Receiving an invitation from Okada Manila was both an honor and a responsibility," said Corinne Castañeda, Founder of House of Wagyu Stonegrill. "Every restaurant we've opened has shaped who we are today. This flagship gave us the opportunity to build on that journey while creating something truly special for one of the country's premier luxury destinations."

A Restaurant Designed to Impress

Every corner of the new flagship reflects Castañeda's vision of creating a space that feels luxurious yet inviting.

Guests are welcomed by an elegant interior highlighted by an undulating ceiling inspired by the rhythm of ocean waves, a striking onyx bar, custom artworks by internationally acclaimed artist Dominik Haring, and beautifully appointed private dining rooms ideal for intimate celebrations, business meetings, and exclusive gatherings.

The thoughtfully designed space creates a sophisticated atmosphere while remaining warm and comfortable, making every visit feel memorable from the moment guests walk through the doors.

Tableside Dining Becomes the Main Attraction

The flagship introduces several exciting tableside presentations that add theatre to every meal.

Guests can watch a Caesar Salad prepared fresh beside their table, enjoy the timeless elegance of Crêpe Suzette finished with a classic flambé, or indulge in the spectacular Grade 10 Tomahawk, dramatically completed with open flame, fragrant rosemary, and House of Wagyu Stonegrill's signature Cowboy Butter.

These interactive presentations transform every meal into an unforgettable dining occasion.

Premium Fire Cooking Adds Even More Flavor

While the famous Stonegrill remains at the heart of the restaurant, the flagship introduces another exciting culinary technique.

House of Wagyu Stonegrill now features a Spanish-built Pira oven, fueled by sustainable coconut charcoal that imparts rich smoky flavors to premium steaks, seafood, and vegetables before they arrive at the table.

Guests then complete the final cooking themselves on the restaurant's signature volcanic stone, creating a unique combination of chef-driven preparation and personal dining interaction.

"The Stonegrill has always been the heart of House of Wagyu," Castañeda shared. "The Pira simply gives us another way to express fire. Together, they create a dining journey where the kitchen begins the story and the guest finishes it."

Creating Moments That Guests Will Remember

Although the Okada Manila flagship is the brand's most ambitious restaurant so far, Castañeda believes true success goes far beyond beautiful interiors or premium ingredients.

For her, every detail revolves around making guests feel welcomed, cared for, and eager to return.

"Every decision we make begins with the guest. Whether it's the food, the design, or the service, we want every visit to leave people feeling relaxed, genuinely cared for, and excited for their next meal with us. Great food is important, but the memories shared around the table matter even more."

With its combination of premium Japanese Wagyu, elegant design, interactive tableside dining, and innovative fire cooking, House of Wagyu Stonegrill at Okada Manila is set to become one of Metro Manila's premier destinations for luxury steak dining and unforgettable celebrations.
