Acer’s Newest Laptops Take Portable Computing to the Next Level

Acer is making a strong statement about the future of portable computing with two new Windows 11 laptops designed to combine lightweight designs with capable performance.

The new Acer Swift Blade 14 and Acer Swift Air 16 target users who want more freedom to work, create, stream, and stay productive without carrying around a bulky machine.

The standout of the announcement is the Swift Blade 14, an incredibly lightweight 14 inch laptop that weighs just 799 grams. Alongside it, the larger Swift Air 16 brings a spacious 16 inch display, an aluminum chassis, powerful connectivity, and entertainment focused features.

Both models are powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, with configurations reaching up to the Intel Core 7 processor 350.

Acer Swift Blade 14 Brings Serious Portability

The Swift Air 16 can also be configured with an Intel Core 7 processor 350, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory, and up to 512 GB of upgradable storage.

Acer says the platform can deliver up to 40 TOPS and includes a dedicated NPU, giving the machine hardware designed to handle modern AI focused workloads.

A Premium Aluminum Design With Several Color Choices

The Swift Air 16 gets an all aluminum chassis designed to balance durability with a premium appearance.

Buyers will be able to choose from colors including Elemental Blue, Sage Green, and Sandstone Gold, depending on the market.

A backlit keyboard is also included, which should make the laptop more practical for late night work sessions or dimly lit environments.

For people who regularly work away from a desk, battery life is another important consideration. The Swift Air 16 packs a larger 70 Wh battery and supports fast charging, reaching up to 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes when using a 100W adapter.
