Beavers Take Center Stage in Disney Pixar’s Hoppers: The Comedy That’s Winning Hearts

“The comedy and the characters were always our top priority,” says director Daniel Chong (“We Bare Bears”). “We focused on creating a tone that’s truly unique, with characters that audiences will love laughing with and rooting for.”

Producer Nicole Paradis Grindle (“Incredibles 2”) adds, “We wanted the story to balance humor, emotion, and action. It’s thrilling in the final scenes, but it’s the laughter that draws people in. Animation lets us explore this world from the perspective of animals in a way that’s both funny and meaningful.”

At the heart of Hoppers are two worlds on the brink: the animal world, under threat from Mayor Jerry Generazzo (voiced by Jon Hamm), and the human world, facing the consequences of animal retaliation. Mabel’s inventive solution, stepping into a robotic beaver, sparks a chain of hilarious, action-packed events as she tries to restore balance between both worlds.

The film also features the voices of Bobby Moynihan, Dave Franco, and Meryl Streep, bringing even more personality to a story full of unexpected twists and uproarious humor.
