TCL Powers the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 With Technology That Brings Every Moment to Life
Global technology leader TCL marked a major milestone as the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 officially came to a close.
As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, the company played a significant role in shaping how the world watched, shared, and celebrated the Games through cutting edge innovation.Throughout the historic winter sporting event hosted in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, TCL technology helped bring the drama, passion, and achievements of athletes closer to audiences everywhere. From broadcast operations to athlete facilities and immersive fan zones, the brand demonstrated how technology can amplify the emotional power of sport.
Technology That Elevated the Global Olympic Broadcast
At the International Broadcast Center, the heart of global Olympic coverage, TCL installed more than 330 television screens and 300 commercial display units. These displays enabled broadcasters and media teams to monitor competitions with remarkable clarity, ensuring every thrilling moment was transmitted seamlessly to millions of viewers worldwide.
Inside the Olympic Villages, TCL also supported athlete comfort with advanced smart home appliances. The company’s optimized display systems powered the touching Athlete Moment, enabling over 350 emotional video connections between athletes and their families and loved ones during the Games.
Team TCL Athletes Inspire the World
The spirit of the Winter Games was also reflected in the journeys of Team TCL athletes, whose determination and perseverance inspired fans around the globe. Their stories embodied the company’s campaign message “It’s Your Greatness,” highlighting that true achievement is defined not only by medals but by resilience, dedication, and the courage to pursue excellence.
Speaking about the partnership, Li Dongsheng, Founder and Chairman of TCL, shared the company’s vision:
“Since our founding in 1981, TCL has focused on creating technology that improves people’s lives. As we complete our first year as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, we are proud to bring our innovations to one of the world’s greatest sporting stages. Technology should highlight human stories, and the Olympic Games provide the perfect platform to celebrate them.”
Interactive Fan Events Bring Olympic Energy to Milan
Beyond the competition venues, TCL connected directly with fans through interactive public events across Milan.
One of the highlights was the “Wishes For Greatness” Winter Wonderland, set up at Piazza del Duomo. Installed alongside the towering 29 meter Tree of Milano Cortina 2026, the festive attraction featured sports themed igloos and winter displays that transformed the square into a lively celebration zone for locals and visitors.
Another major attraction was TCL Edelweiss Land, located in Piazza Duca d'Aosta in front of Milan’s central train station. The 500 square meter immersive space welcomed over 91,000 visitors, offering hands-on access to TCL’s latest innovations, including next generation home appliances, SQD Mini LED televisions, and TCL RayNeo AR Smart Glasses.
Visitors also enjoyed creative experiences such as customizable souvenirs and interactive exhibits that blended technology, art, and storytelling.
Art, Sport, and Technology Meet in the Heart of Milan
TCL also collaborated with the Olympic Museum, Olympian and painter Zeina Rashid, and renowned 3D mural artist Bublegum to create a vibrant public mural in downtown Milan.
Inspired by Zeina Rashid’s childhood memories of watching the Olympic Winter Games on television, the mural combined artistic expression with digital innovation to celebrate the cultural influence of the Olympic movement.
Technology That Brings Fans Closer to the Olympic Games
According to Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee, technology partnerships like TCL’s are shaping the future of the Games.
“The Olympic Games are becoming more connected, more digital, and more global. TCL technology is transforming how the Games are experienced, making every moment more immersive and emotional. Our partnership is built on shared values of purposeful innovation and inspiring greatness.”
TCL Looks Ahead to the Paralympic Winter Games
With the Olympic Winter Games concluded, attention now turns to the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, scheduled from March 6 to 15. The competition will feature six winter sports, including para Alpine skiing, para biathlon, para cross country skiing, para ice hockey, and para snowboarding.
