Palawan ProtekTODO, the microinsurance division of the trusted Palawan Group of Companies, has officially launched ProtekSure.

This new insurance feature is embedded within the PalawanPay app, providing users with instant, affordable, and accessible personal accident coverage. ProtekSure offers a simple solution that allows users to secure accident insurance easily while paying their bills through the PalawanPay app.

Many Filipinos still believe insurance is expensive or something they cannot prioritize. According to 2025 data from Statista, the insurance market in the Philippines remains underdeveloped with a penetration rate below two percent. Palawan ProtekTODO aims to change this by making insurance affordable, relevant, and accessible. By embedding low-cost, high-value protection into a platform users already trust and use daily, it removes common barriers to insurance.

With ProtekSure, PalawanPay users can opt in during their bill payment process. For only 0.85% of their bill amount, users receive 30 days of personal accident insurance. This coverage is valued at 36 times the amount they pay. For example, paying a ₱1,000 bill unlocks up to ₱36,000 in accident coverage for just ₱8.50. This small additional cost makes personal accident insurance more accessible without the usual financial or procedural hurdles.
