Filipino Street Dancer Nemesis Set to Light Up Los Angeles at Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals

Fresh off a powerful victory at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines National Finals, Cebu-based street dancer Sam Rivera, known in the freestyle scene as Nemesis, is heading to Los Angeles to represent the Philippines on one of the biggest dance stages in the world.

The Red Bull Dance Your Style 2025 World Finals will take place at the Intuit Dome on October 11–12, bringing together top freestyle talent from over 50 countries.

Bringing Filipino Fire to the Global Dance Arena

After electrifying battles across the globe, the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals is where street dance legends are made. With each dancer representing their country, this all-style, crowd-judged competition is known for its raw energy and unpredictable showdowns.

For Nemesis, this is more than a battle, it’s a statement. Her performance in LA won’t just be about claiming a title; it’s about putting Filipino street dance on the global map.

From Cebu to the World

Nemesis first caught national attention during her 2024 run, but 2025 marked her breakthrough. Winning the Philippine Finals in her hometown of Cebu, she proved herself as one of the country’s fiercest freestyle dancers, known for her Krump-heavy style, fluid movement, and magnetic stage presence.

But her training goes beyond just physical drills.

“This year I’m really in it to win, but I remind myself to have fun on stage. Just vibe with the music and trust my body’s instincts,” Nemesis shares.

“I don’t prep set choreography. I train my body, build muscle memory, and create from concepts and ideas. That’s how I freestyle.”

Her preparation for LA has been just as much mental as physical.

“Mindset is everything. I’m preparing myself emotionally too, because LA is where the best dancers are. But I’m taking it as a chance to learn and grow.”

All Eyes on LA: Finals Set for October 11

The Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals will kick off a full week of events from October 7–11, spotlighting global street dance culture. The main event on October 11 will be streamed live from Intuit Dome, where dancers will go head-to-head in freestyle battles, but only the crowd decides who wins.
