Free Laboratory Tests Expand Nationwide Through 1Life and Singapore Diagnostics Partnership Across 23 Sites in the Philippines

Access to preventive healthcare in the Philippines has taken a major step forward as 1Life Inc. partners with Singapore Diagnostics to bring free laboratory testing closer to communities nationwide.

The collaboration opens access to essential diagnostic services for PhilHealth YAKAP members, helping strengthen early detection of common but serious diseases across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The partnership was formally sealed in Pasig City through a memorandum of agreement led by 1Life President Niño Namoco together with Laboratory Partnerships and Compliance Head Allister Adam Oraña, and Singapore Diagnostics leaders President Ritche Joseph Manuel Evidente and COO Norely Gil. The signing marks a shared commitment to making preventive healthcare more accessible and practical for Filipino families.

Singapore Diagnostics, the country’s first College of American Pathologists accredited diagnostic laboratory, will serve as 1Life’s primary laboratory partner in expanding nationwide coverage. Through this network, patients enrolled under PhilHealth’s Yaman ng Kalusugan Program YAKAP can now receive nine essential laboratory tests at no cost in 23 participating branches.

These include commonly prescribed tests such as complete blood count, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, oral glucose tolerance test, HbA1C, urinalysis, fecalysis, fecal occult blood test, and creatinine test. Doctors rely on these screenings to identify early signs of conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, and heart related illnesses before they progress into more serious complications.

Coverage spans major cities and provinces across the country. In Metro Manila, patients can access services in Makati, Las Piñas, Marikina, Parañaque, Pasay, San Juan, Diliman in Quezon City, and two Pasig locations at Robinsons Cyber Omega and Strata. Luzon branches include Angeles City and San Fernando in Pampanga, Dagupan and Urdaneta in Pangasinan, Baguio City in Benguet, and Tarlac City. In the Visayas, services are available in Cebu City, Iloilo City, Mandurriao, Bacolod, and surrounding hubs. In Mindanao, participating sites include Davao City, Davao del Sur, and General Santos City.

Singapore Diagnostics brings strong nationwide infrastructure to the partnership, operating more than 60 locations and serving over 600 hospitals and clinics. Its satellite laboratories in key regional centers further support faster and more efficient diagnostic processing across the country.

For 1Life Inc., this expansion reinforces its mission as a healthtech social enterprise focused on preventive care and primary healthcare access. In just two years of operations, the company has already reached more than one million patients across all 81 provinces and over 1,300 cities and municipalities, supported by artificial intelligence driven clinical workflows that streamline patient visits and reduce delays in care.

At the heart of the initiative is a simple goal: making preventive testing available before illness becomes severe or costly. By removing financial barriers to laboratory diagnostics, 1Life and Singapore Diagnostics aim to close the gap between early symptoms and timely medical intervention, especially in underserved and geographically distant communities.

“Preventive care only works when patients can actually access testing. Reliable diagnostics are the foundation of accurate treatment and better health outcomes. When people are given the chance to complete essential laboratory work without cost barriers, it becomes more than a medical service. It becomes a pathway to a healthier life,” said 1Life President Niño Namoco.

As 1Life continues to scale its preventive healthcare network, the company plans to expand further partnerships with accredited diagnostic providers nationwide. The long term vision is a more connected primary care system where early detection is not limited by location or income.

Patients can learn more about the free laboratory services through the partnership by visiting 1Life Inc. or 1Life Facebook Page. The 1Life Health App is also available for download on both major mobile platforms.
