IKEA Philippines makes history with Store of the Year 2025 win and Hall of Fame celebration honoring co workers and customers
Among hundreds of stores across the globe under IKEA, one location in the Philippines has risen to the top. IKEA Philippines has made history after its Pasay City store was named Store of the Year 2025, a rare global recognition awarded only to the most outstanding performers in the network.
For IKEA Pasay City, the achievement was more than a trophy moment. It became a powerful celebration of people, culture, and everyday excellence that brought Filipino retail talent into the global spotlight.
A milestone moment for IKEA Pasay City
The recognition placed IKEA Pasay City among the best performing IKEA stores worldwide, honoring its strong retail results and its deep understanding of how Filipino families live, shop, and build their homes.
Store Manager Daniel Rivero described the win as an emotional milestone for the entire team. He shared that the recognition reflected not only performance but also the passion, unity, and dedication of co workers who consistently bring the IKEA vision to life in the Philippines.
A Hall of Fame celebration rooted in Filipino pride
On May 14, 2026, the Swedish Restaurant inside IKEA Pasay City was transformed into a Hall of Fame celebration space. The event highlighted the journey of the store’s co workers through a “Champion’s Walk,” surrounded by a gallery honoring inspiring Filipino achievers.
The celebration brought together well known personalities including Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, and chef Josh Boutwood. Each guest shared reflections on success, discipline, and purpose, connecting their own journeys with the spirit of achievement being honored at IKEA Pasay City.
The event turned into a shared moment of pride, not only for the company but also for Filipino excellence represented across different fields.
Building success through people and everyday excellence
According to Ricardo Pinheiro, Country Retail Manager of IKEA Philippines, the success of the Pasay store reflects more than just strong sales figures. He emphasized that what truly stands out is the mindset of the team, a culture centered on people, values, and consistency.
The store has developed a strong understanding of Filipino customers, shaping an experience that reflects real home life in the Philippines. From layout to product selection and food offerings, every detail is designed to match how customers shop and live.
Food also became an important part of the experience, designed around affordability, taste, and convenience, making the store not just a shopping destination but a place where people naturally spend time.
Small improvements that created big results
One of the key strengths behind the store’s success was its focus on small but meaningful improvements. The team refined how they approach add on sales across both the showroom and Market Hall, resulting in an average of nearly 17 items per transaction.
This disciplined focus on customer behavior and operational consistency helped drive performance to a global level, culminating in a remarkable achievement by the end of 2025 when IKEA Pasay City recorded more home furnishing sales than any other IKEA store worldwide.
A global opportunity for Filipino co workers
As part of the Store of the Year recognition, 12 selected co workers from IKEA Pasay City will travel to Älmhult, Sweden, the global home of IKEA. There, they will take part in a learning journey designed to deepen their understanding of the brand’s culture, values, and design philosophy.
Continuing the celebration with customers
To extend the milestone to its customers, IKEA Pasay City launched a special Winning Offer promotion from May 14 to 31, 2026. The campaign features discounts on selected furniture and home items, allowing shoppers to join in the celebration in a more personal way by bringing home pieces that reflect the spirit of the award winning store.
For IKEA Philippines, the recognition is not just about winning titles. It is about building better homes for more people, strengthening everyday retail excellence, and showing how a local team can make a global impact through consistency, care, and understanding of customers.
