In Panda Plan, the global action legend takes on a surprising role: himself. This time, Jackie Chan plays a fictionalized version of Jackie Chan, unexpectedly tasked with protecting an adorable baby panda named Hu Hu. But when a dangerous crime syndicate sets its sights on the rare cub, the mission becomes anything but easy.

Packed with thrilling stunts, chase scenes, and classic Jackie Chan humor, Panda Plan offers a globe-trotting adventure with a generous dose of heart. Alongside Jackie is his loyal agent David (played by Xiang Wei) and dedicated panda caretaker Su Xiaozhu (Ce Shi). Together, they take on an international crime ring determined to steal Hu Hu, leading to a series of wild, laugh-out-loud encounters.

As always, Jackie Chan brings his signature blend of martial arts mastery and comedic timing. In fact, he brought in stunt professionals from The Karate Kid (2010), specifically the team who trained the child actors, to help choreograph the action scenes. The result is a fresh, family-friendly take on his iconic action style.

Directed by Zhang Luan and filmed in some of China’s most picturesque locations, Panda Plan is a visually rich, energetic film perfect for weekend viewing. According to Jackie, the project was especially meaningful. In an interview with Gulf News, he shared: “It was quite a unique and interesting experience for me to play Jackie Chan. I remember the first time I watched Kung Fu Panda, I thought: pandas are our Chinese national treasure, but it was Hollywood that first brought them to life in a blockbuster film. I hoped one day we could tell a story about pandas based on our own cultural themes.”
