The highly anticipated Travel Sale Expo (TSE) wrapped up another successful run last September 26–28, 2025, at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall, attracting thousands of eager travelers and industry professionals alike.

Now on its third edition, the event continues to raise the bar as the Philippines' premier travel fair, opening new opportunities for Filipinos to explore both local and global destinations.

Organized by the Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA) and Oneklik Events, the expo was made possible through strategic partnerships with the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), Boracay Malay LGU, Tourism Malaysia, Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with strong support from the Department of Tourism (DOT) and various embassies, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, India, and Brunei.

Over 200 exhibitors from airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour companies, and lifestyle brands filled the venue, offering unbeatable deals and exclusive packages for every kind of traveler, from beach lovers and culture buffs to faith-based explorers.

This year’s theme, "Your Gateway to the World," lived up to its promise. Visitors scored major discounts on airfare, hotel stays, and tours to crowd-favorite local spots like Boracay, Bohol, and Cebu, as well as international destinations including Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and more.

GTBA Founding Chairman and TSE Chairperson Michelle Taylan emphasized the expo’s mission to make travel more inclusive:

"We’re making travel realistic for the everyday Filipino. The Travel Sale Expo isn’t just about trend-chasing or once-in-a-lifetime splurges, it’s about smart, value-packed travel that’s within reach.”

More Than Just Travel Deals

Beyond the exciting promos, TSE 2025 was a thriving hub for industry collaboration. Workshops, seminars, and dialogues brought together local and international tourism stakeholders to discuss key topics like sustainable travel, halal tourism, and emerging global trends. The goal? To align the local travel scene with what’s next globally.

A major highlight was the expanded collaboration with DTI and DOT, shining a spotlight on Filipino-made products and services that reflect the country's rich cultural identity. The partnership also helped promote Muslim-friendly travel, reinforcing the Philippines as a welcoming destination for diverse markets across ASEAN and beyond.

An Immersive Travel Lifestyle Showcase

Attendees didn’t just shop for trips, they immersed themselves in the travel lifestyle. From surprise performances and interactive booths to pop-ups by top global retail brands, the expo turned a simple booking event into a vibrant celebration of tourism.

“These kinds of events aren’t just about vacations,” Taylan added.

“They’re about job creation, economic growth, and rebuilding the tourism ecosystem. We’re proud to champion an event that empowers both travelers and the industry.”

A Growing Travel Movement

Since its debut in 2023, the Travel Sale Expo has seen massive growth, becoming a must-attend for Filipino travelers and industry players. This year exceeded all expectations, and with momentum on its side, organizers promise an even grander edition in 2026.

The opening ceremony was graced by high-level guests including DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, DTI Director Aleem Guiapal, DFA Assistant Secretary Rhenita B. Rodriguez, Guam Senator Shelley Calvo, Mayor Frolibar Bautista, and ambassadors from Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Israel, Taiwan, and more. Key sponsors like Metrobank, GCash Philippines, and AirAsia also supported the event alongside media partners from the Daily Tribune, Manila Times, and others.

The Travel Sale Expo 2025 did more than sell trips, it connected people, cultures, and possibilities. As it continues to grow, it remains a powerful platform that proves one thing: the world is within reach for every Filipino.
