Generation HOPE: A United Effort to Build Classrooms for the Next Generation

4:10 PM

HOPE, the Philippines’ first certified B Corporation and social impact organization, officially launched Generation HOPE,

a groundbreaking partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and beloved Filipino brands to address the urgent need for more public school classrooms nationwide.

What is Generation HOPE?

Generation HOPE is a collective movement where businesses and individuals come together to support education in the Philippines by funding the construction of much-needed public school classrooms. By collaborating with well-known local brands, HOPE empowers Filipinos to make a difference through their everyday purchases.

Partner Brands Driving the Cause

Top Filipino brands have pledged their support to Generation HOPE, including:

BDO – Launching a “HOPE in Every Spend” credit card that contributes a portion of purchases and rewards points to school building projects.

Carmen’s Best – Releasing limited-edition flavors, Hope in a Scoop and Hope in a Pint, where proceeds go to HOPE’s cause.

Grab Philippines – Allowing users to donate GrabRewards points and make direct contributions toward classroom construction.

Penshoppe – Debuting a collection of HOPE-themed merchandise such as shirts, caps, hoodies, and bags.

Aivee Clinic – Offering exclusive items and Skin Bank cards through the Aivee x HOPE collection.

SM Supermalls – Donating a portion of SM-branded water bottle sales from partner food merchants.

Sunnies – Launching a clean lens kit and HOPE-branded Sunnies Flask to support the initiative.

Each brand's participation creates a meaningful and convenient way for Filipino consumers to take part in nation-building through education.

Government and Private Sector Collaboration

In partnership with the Department of Education, HOPE ensures that every classroom built is strategically located to serve the most underserved communities. The program was unveiled in the presence of DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, HOPE Founder Nanette Medved-Po, and representatives from all partner brands.

“Education is a solemn responsibility we all share,” said Secretary Sonny Angara. “When the government and private sector unite through programs like Generation HOPE, we create real impact for future generations.”

A Message from HOPE Founder Nanette Medved-Po

“In times of need, Filipinos always step up. Through Generation HOPE, we can harness that same unity to invest in the youth, build classrooms, and secure the nation’s future,” shared Medved-Po during the launch.
