Empowering Change Through Everyday Choices
With the help of trusted Filipino companies, Generation HOPE gives every Filipino a chance to “vote with their peso.” This means every purchase from a partner brand contributes to building classrooms nationwide. This collective impact from consumers and brands helps bridge the education gap and ensures every Filipino child has a safe, comfortable place to learn.
During the event, HOPE Founder Nanette Medved-Po and DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara placed a symbolic puzzle piece on the “HOPE Wall” to represent unity and a shared commitment to education.
Innovative Campaigns from Partner Brands
Each partner brand has developed creative ways for consumers to support Generation HOPE:
- BDO will offer the “HOPE in Every Spend” credit card. A portion of every purchase, plus rewards points and membership fees, will be donated to school construction.
- Carmen’s Best will launch exclusive flavors like “Hope in a Scoop” and “Hope in a Pint,” blending indulgence with impact.
- Grab users can convert their GrabRewards points into donations toward classroom construction.
- Aivee Clinic is releasing the Aivee x HOPE collection with limited-edition bags, tags, and Skin Bank cards.
- Penshoppe will sell HOPE-themed apparel and accessories, including t-shirts, hoodies, caps, and bags.
- SM Supermalls will donate a portion of proceeds from SM-branded bottled water sold at partner food outlets.
- Sunnies will offer a clean lens kit and a specially designed Sunnies Flask as part of their contribution.
- Each item gives consumers a practical way to make a difference in the lives of students.
A Joint Mission with DepEd to Close the Classroom Gap
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized the campaign's importance in solving the country’s classroom shortage. “Education is not just a duty, it’s a solemn responsibility we all share,” he said. “When the government and the private sector unite through partnerships like Generation HOPE, we break down barriers and create safe, inspiring environments for learning. This is how we secure our nation’s future.”
By working closely with DepEd, HOPE ensures that every classroom built directly addresses urgent needs in public schools throughout the country.
