What is BALASA? A Fandom-Powered SB19 Quest on Spotify

Now available on Spotify, BALASA transforms the typical listening experience into an engaging, interactive quest for fans. It all begins with the This Is SB19 playlist, where five special tracks hide a unique BALASA card, one for each member of the group.

To unlock each card, fans can stream and share the correct tracks. The hints are cleverly embedded within Canvas, the short looping visuals that play along with each song. As A’TIN participate and spread the word, they’ll uncover surprises and exclusive content along the way.

BALASA is just one of several ways Spotify is bringing this SB19 era to life. Earlier this month, SB19 hosted the first-ever Spotify Listening Party led by a Filipino act. The digital event attracted nearly 20,000 listeners across 25 different countries, connecting fans from around the world.

“It was our first time doing something like this, and we were so excited to do it with Spotify,” SB19 shared. “The energy from A’TIN was incredible.”

During the listening party, members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin walked fans through the new EP in real-time. They shared behind-the-scenes stories, answered questions, and gave fans a rare glimpse into their creative process.
