Nominate Real Life Filipino Heroes and Share Inspiring Stories That Change Communities

10:38 PM

Some of the most powerful stories in the Philippines are not found in headlines or viral posts, they live quietly in communities, carried by ordinary people doing meaningful work every day.

Now, those stories have a platform.

The nationwide search Hero for All Honoring Stories of the Everyday Filipino is officially open for public nominations, shining a spotlight on Filipinos whose simple acts of service have made a lasting difference.

Launched in December 2025 and introduced to the public on April 9, 2026 in Makati City, the campaign celebrates individuals who lead with purpose, without recognition, without applause, and often without anyone watching.

At the launch, actor and advocate Alden Richards shared a message that reflects the heart of the initiative: you do not need grand gestures to create impact. Many heroes are ordinary people driven by extraordinary missions, quietly helping others because they believe it matters.

A Platform for Purpose Driven Filipinos

More than an awards program, Hero for All aims to highlight real stories of service and inspire others to take action in their own communities. It recognizes individuals who have built meaningful, community driven change, whether through small initiatives or life changing acts of courage.

Twenty outstanding heroes will be selected from across the country. Each awardee will receive PHP 1 million, to be shared between their personal advocacy and a partner community organization of their choice.

To ensure fairness and credibility, a multi sectoral jury panel will evaluate all qualified entries. The panel includes an academic expert, a respected media personality, a representative from Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, and Alden Richards.

How to Nominate a Hero

Nominations are open from April 10 to May 1, 2026, and anyone can take part.

To submit a nomination, prepare the following:

  • The nominee’s name and location
  • A 150 word story describing their act of service
  • At least one supporting material such as a photo, news article, or endorsement

Video nominations are also welcome via social media by tagging the official campaign account and using the hashtag #HeroForAll.

To make participation more accessible, offline nomination postcards are available nationwide, allowing individuals without internet access to submit entries.

All nominations will go through a verification process before being reviewed by the jury.

Who Can Be Nominated

Nominees must be Filipino citizens currently living in the Philippines. Their act of service or initiative must be verifiable and must have taken place within the last five years.

One powerful example is Rhodora Alcaraz Tuñacao, a domestic worker in Hong Kong who risked her life to save her employer’s child during a fire. Her story reflects the courage and compassion that this initiative seeks to honor.

A Nationwide Celebration of Everyday Heroes

The campaign will culminate in the Grand Awarding Ceremony on August 31, 2026, in line with the celebration of National Heroes Day. The event will bring together inspiring stories from across the country, turning individual acts of kindness into a shared national moment.
